street opera vs. street flute

Walking home late one night, I recorded this first clip right outside of our apartment complex. There is a unique clash of tradition and new 30+ story high rise construction taking place on a daily basis in this country. I am amazed at the contrasts daily. One side of the street: elderly making their own music. The other side: massive construction projects underway at all stages.

Yesterday I had the chance to tour the Muslm quarter here in Xn for the first time. I came across a man selling flutes that appeared like a large egg. Anyway, I was struck by the sound clarity.
