running a hot computer

Just passing on some helpful info. I have had this current laptop for several months now and recently it has been running a bit hot. Here is an extermely cool add-in to windows (no pun intended) which allows you to control the FAN speed of your cpu. simply download the program and install it. It enables you to manually control the fan speed–cooling your computer almost immediately. If you don’t mind the fan noise–it is a good deal.

. . . yes, been there, used it, for those of us afflicted with the desktop processors in our laptops. the other handy trick is have a can of compressed air and spray in the outlet for the fan every couple of weeks. It keeps dust of off the processor and lowers your temperature by 5-10 degrees.
